I HIGHLY recommend Machado's Auto Care. I had been looking for a mechanic and checked the Livermore Rants and Raves Facebook page as well as their yelp page. I initially called because I had a brake light that would stay on in my Chevy Surburban. Arny was very helpful over the phone and explained a number of reasons why it could stay on. I had asked about other issues I was having with two other vehicles. Not once did he try to rush the call. He was very informative and took his time to explain the answer to many questions I had. First I brought in my Surburban for a diagnostic. Sure enough my brake fluid was below the minimum requirements. I met Tom, the owner and he was very helpful and explained why I had several lights that would always stay one. Told me I needed to get my brakes done and topped off the brake fluid at no charge. He mentioned that the sensor in my front right tire was out as well and once I fixed that the other lights on my dash would go away. I replaced the sensor when I got my tires rotated and sure enough all the lights went away. I needed to get my son's Ford Focus in to get a new fuel pump so I could register it and sale it. My husband just didn't have the time or tools to work on it. Arny asked if I had AAA and reminded me that I could get them to tow my son's car to the shop since it was already apart of the fees I paid. They were short handed, but said they would look at the vehicle on Monday. I was in no rush. It wasn't running anyway. Tom called me as promised and let me know the diagnosis and they could have it done by Tuesday. I took both vehicles in last week. Yesterday, we brought in my Honda to get the transmission looked at. When I picked it up I spoke with Tom for quite a while just before they were closing. Tom is the nicest guy and very helpful. I ended up chatting with him until well after closing time. It was like we were old friends talking about our family and kids. These guys are honest and do great work. They have a new loyal customer. Thanks Arny and Tom for making my experience a great one!
